This place was first called Glick when it was established in Glick Township in Southeast Kiowa County. A post office opened on March 16, 1883. The Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad laid tracks through Glick on October 1, 1887. On April 26, 1890, the town and post office were renamed Belvidere. The town is extinct today, as its post office closed decades ago. |

| Crescent | 1892-1905 | The Crescent post office opened on May 27, 1892, in the W.H. Hargadine home in a thriving community known as the Bethel/Crescent community. It already had a school and a church. The post office was discontinued on September 14, 1905. It was located near the northwest corner, about 5 miles from the Arkansas River and 12 miles from Greensburg, the county seat. Mail is received through the postoffice at Mullinville, which is the nearest railroad station. |
