Town Post Office Dates Additional Information
Carwood 1889-1916 A rural post office in Edwards Township, about 12 miles northwest of Leoti, the county seat. It was located in the Ladder Creek Valley and served as a trading center for the neighborhood. In 1910, it had a store and a Presbyterian Church, and was connected by telephone to the surrounding countryside.
Coronado 1886-1899 Coronado, Kansas, is a mostly abandoned place in Wichita County. In its heyday, the town was in a bitter county seat war with Leoti. In the end, Leoti won and Coronado faded away. The old townsite is now a farmstead, featuring several silos, a row of trees, a few buildings, and a large shed. It is located three miles east of Leoti.
Halcyon 1886-1894
Kepple 1888-1908 A hamlet in Edwards Township, it was 15 miles north of Leoti, the county seat and most convenient railroad station. After its post office closed, its mail was distributed from Sunnyside.
Lydia 1888-1928 A country post office in White Woman Township, Lydia was located 16 miles south of Leoti, the county seat and nearest shipping point. In 1910, its population was 16.

Marienthal 1902-2017 Marienthal is a census-designated place in Wichita County, Kansas. As of the 2020 census, the population was 64.

Saint Theresa 1886-1904
1908-1916
St. Theresa was established in 1886 and was named for Mrs. Theresa Scheve, one of the early-day settlers. A Catholic Church was built there in 1887. Described as a close-knit community or neighborhood, its nearest shipping point was in Leoti, 12 miles to the northwest. The population in 1910 was 20. All that is left today is a cemetery.

Located between Leoti and Tribune, Selkirk is an unincorporated community and extinct town, as it no longer has a post office. Established in Leoti Township, this was a busy shipping point in its early years.
Sunnyside 1906-1916 Sunnyside was a country hamlet located 18 miles north of Leoti, the county seat. In 1910, it had a telephone exchange, general stores, a money order post office, and a population of 330.
