Lyon Creek is a stream in Geary, Dickinson, and Marion Counties of Kansas. It was named in the 1850s for Captain Nathaniel Lyon, the first Union general to be killed in the Civil War.
The 100-foot Lyon Creek Rainbow Arch Bridge in Geary County is at the intersection of Lyon Creek Road and Hwy K-157 Spur. It was erected in 1925 by the Marsh Engineering Company and Fred Luttjohan, with support from the Kansas Highway Commission, as a Federal Aid Project. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in December 2020.
